Accepted Answer

A self-service ordering kiosk is a touchscreen terminal that lets customers browse the menu, customise their order, and pay — without staff assistance. For Singapore restaurants, kiosks reduce manpower dependency, eliminate order errors, and increase average order value by up to 20% through automatic upsell prompts. Aptsys Turquoise is a self-service kiosk built specifically for F&B businesses.

Question 7

How do Singapore restaurants reduce manpower costs with technology?

Accepted Answer

Singapore restaurants reduce manpower costs by replacing manual order-taking with self-service kiosks, QR table ordering, and automated kitchen displays. This directly addresses Singapore's tight labour market and rising wages. Aptsys provides an integrated suite of tools designed specifically for this purpose.

Question 8

What is QR ordering and how does it work in a restaurant?

Accepted Answer

QR ordering allows diners to scan a QR code at their table using their smartphone, browse the full menu, place their order, and pay — all without a waiter. Orders are sent instantly to the kitchen display or printer. It speeds up service, reduces errors, and frees up front-of-house staff for higher-value tasks like hospitality and upselling.

Question 9

What is a CRM loyalty programme for restaurants?

Accepted Answer

A CRM loyalty programme tracks customer visits, spending, and preferences, then rewards them with points, vouchers, and stored value to encourage repeat visits. For restaurants, it turns one-time diners into regulars and gives owners data to send targeted promotions. Aptsys integrates CRM loyalty directly with your POS and online ordering platform so everything stays in sync.
